14/43.- Prague, Karlúv Most

'Karlúv Most' (Charles Bridge) is a 520 meter long, 10 meter wide bridge over the Vltava river --this river is also known as Moldava or Moldau. The construction of this bridge began in 1357 and was finished in the 15th century. 'Karlúv Most' replaced the stone Judith Bridge (1158-1160), which replaced an old wooden bridge constructed in the early middle age.

On each of its ends sit two similar towers: The Lesser Town Bridge and the Old Town Bridge Tower, from this later one there’s a great sky view of the bridge, let’s go up there ...
