Karlúv Most
'Karlúv Most' (Charles Bridge) is a 520 meter long, 10
meter wide bridge over the Vltava river --this river is also known
as Moldava or Moldau. The construction of this bridge began in 1357
and was finished in the 15th century. 'Karlúv Most' replaced
the stone Judith Bridge (1158-1160), which replaced an old wooden
bridge constructed in the early middle age.
On each of its ends
sit two similar towers: The Lesser Town Bridge and the
Old Town Bridge Tower, from this later one theres a
