15/43.- Prague, view of the Karlúv Most from the tower

After paying a few Crowns and climbing several steps, you access the tower look out, from where there’s this great view of the bridge.

The Old Town Bridge Tower (Staromestská mostecká vez) was completed in 1380, and it was the scene of battles in defense of Prague in 1648 (against the Swedes) and in 1848 (during the revolutionary Whitsuntide events).

From this tower there’s a great view of some of the nearby buildings, for instance back at our right there’s the Church of St. Francis ....
