6/38.- Ceske Budejovice, on the Black Tower

The city of Ceske Budejovice was founded by the king Premysl Otakar II in 1265. In the 16th century the city underwent an expansion period, thanks to its powerful economy, with expanding silver mining, beer brewing, salt trade and ponds foundation. The money flowing from these industries made possible the construction of the wonderful Renaissance buildings.
