Hangzhou, Lingyin Temple, Peak Flying from Afar Buddha Statue
On the way to and from the Temple, visitors
pass the famous rock carvings on "Peak that Flew from Afar".
The statues are more than one thousand years old. Some of them
were destroyed by students during the Cultural Revolution.
The Laughing Buddha, in the picture, is one
of the most famous carved statues in the area. Rubbing the belly
of this Buddha will make your wishes come true.
