China Tourist Information. Welcome to China!

Dear visitor, welcome to my China web pages. Here you will find tourist information, photographs, videos and travel tips on the country's main tourist destinations.

When to Go/Climate: The best season to travel to Center and North China is Spring and Fall. Summer can be a little too hot. Winters are cold, windy and gray. The South can be visited anytime.

Get in: China's main entry airports are: Beijing (PEK), Shanghai (SHA), Guangzhou (CAN) and Hong Kong (HKG), but there are many other international airports with direct flights from Asia, Oceania, Europe and America. Most travelers will need a visa to visit mainland China

Get around: The best way to move around is the plane. For shorter distances trains are recommended.

Money and Costs: The local currency is the Renminbi (RMB). Foreign currencies can be exchanged at banks. The cost of traveling around China is low, except for the upscale hotels.

Length of stay: China is a country with an unlimited tourist potential. If you wanted to visit the country in detail, you would need a couple of years. In two or three weeks you can only visit a few of its tourist destinations. Use our virtual tours to do your selection of places to visit.

Languages/People: People in China are very friendly and kind. The problem is that English is not widely spoken

Food: China has one of the richest cuisines in the world.

Safety: China is considered a very safe country, but watch out for pickpockets when in crowded areas.
