24/33.- Grand Canyon National Park, Colorado River

South of Yaki Point, on the Kaibab Trail Route (east), there is another trail that will take you down to the river. The trail is very steep, and there is no water and almost no shade on the trail. The trek down to the river will take you several hours. You should not try to go down and back on the same day.
