25/33.- Grand Canyon National Park, Hermits Rest

West of the Hermits Rest there is another trail down to the river. This is a trek reserved for experienced hikers. A good pair of trekking boots is basic. On the way to the river you will find water springs, but water must be treated before drinking.

Another nice trail for experienced hikers is the Grandview Trail, on Desert View Drive. This trail dos not reach the river, but the views are awesome.
