The United States offers a wonderful combination of tourist destinations, from large cities to small towns, from forests to deserts, among many others. On the following pages you will find a collection of some of the most beautiful destinations in this country. 

When to Go/Climate: United States is located in North America, its climate ranges from sub-tropical to arctic, but most of its states have four distinctive seasons, with a cold winter, mild fall and spring, and a hot summer. Any time is a good time to visit the United States.

Get in: the United States has several international airports. Some of the biggest ones are NYC (JFK and EWR), Chicago (ORD), Philadelphia (PHL), Boston (BOS), Washington DC (IAD and DCA), Miami (MIA), Seattle (SEA), San Francisco (SFO), Los Angeles (LAX) and Portland (PDX).

Get around: The most convenient way of moving around for big distances is the plane. For shorter distances the car is recommended.

Money and Costs: The official currency is the American Dollar. Credit cards are widely accepted. A service tip of 15-20% is expected in restaurants.

Length of stay: the United States is such a big country that one needs to visit it several times. It is impossible to see everything on a single trip.

Languages/People: more than 300 million people live in the United States. The country has no official language, but the de facto national language is English. Hundreds of languages are spoken in this big and diverse country.

Food: The local cuisine is as varied as its population. Apart from American barbeques and Fast food, in the USA you will find Mexican, Chinese, Indian, Japanese and Middle East food, among many others.
