1/35.- Welcome to the Yosemite National Park

Yosemite National Park, Central California, is famous for its granite cliffs, its waterfalls, its streams, its giant sequoias groves, and its bio diversity.

The park is located in Center California, in the counties of Mariposa and Tuolumne, and makes a good two- or three-day excursion from San Francisco.

Most of its 3.5 million visitor a year visit only the Yosemite Valley, where they find nice hiking trails and great views. But there are other areas in the National Park that are also a must-see: Wawona & Mariposa Grove, Tuolumne Meadows and Glacier Point.

Yosemite National Park was declared a National Park in 1890, and a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1984.
