13/18.- Big Sur, Pacific Coast Highway

The best season to visit Big Sur is between June and October, when temperatures are mild (around the 50's at night, up to the 70's by day). In Winter average temperatures are ten degrees lower. Rains are also more common in winter. Note that after strong showers there may be rock slides that cut off the road.
