In this photo you can see a Red Sea Melon or Exquisite Butterflyfish (chaetodon austriacus). This is an endemic species of the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden. Although its bright colors would make of this fish a perfect choice for an aquarium, you will never see one of this in an artificial medium. This species never lives in captivity, unlike so many of the other fishes hailing from this area.
