13/50.- Red Sea, scuba diving, cube boxfish
In this photo you can see a cube boxfish
(ostracion cubicus). As its name implies, the boxfish is a "box"
shaped fish. This fish is often found in the shallower parts of the
reefs. They protect themselves from predators with their tough covering,
somewhat like a shell. They're able to further protect themselves
by secreting poison from their armour.
