14/50.- Red Sea, scuba diving, blue triggerfish
This is a blue triggerfish (pseudobAlistes
fuscus). This fish can grow up to lengths of 75 cm. And it is considered
a dangerous species also. Divers need
to keep their distance from triggerfishes, they are known to have
attacked divers with their painful blows and powerful bites.
Triggerfishes eat shellfish, crustaceans and other bottom dwellers,
including sea urchins. They are usually spotted alone, but it is not
strange to see them in couples. These elliptic fishes look almost
Alike the filefish.
