18/26.- Pyramids tour, Saqqara, userkef pyramid

Close to the Zoser pyramid there are some other pyramids, like the one you can see in the photo. The most important of them is the Unas pyramid. This is not a very impressive pyramid, but it is a very important one, because in this pyramid were found the famous texts of the pyramids. These hieroglyphics depict the prayers, rituals and the hymns used during a pharaoh's funeral, which allowed the liberation of the ka of the pharaohs. Thanks to these texts archeologists could see which were the objects ancient Egyptians considered indispensable for the future life of the pharaohs.
