11/25.- Fez, Medina, pottery for sale

In the picture you can see some ceramic pots for sale in one of the workshops in the old Medina.

The accommodation offer in Fez is not as varied as in Marrakech, but it is still good. Around the Bab Boujeloud Gate and the Bab Boud Ganoush, in the old Medina, there are some basic hotels.

If you are looking for something more upscale head to the Ville Nouvelle, where the offer of places to stay is also more varied.

In the medina of Fes el-Bali there are some really nice Riads (ancient houses and/or palaces) available. Most of the riads in Fez offer an excellent price/quality ratio, but you will have to do some homework before choosing a riad, because some Western owners take advantage of the riad name and offer over priced rooms.

As always, I recommend reserving ahead. Specially during the high season.
