The Residenz is a palace originally built in 1385, and expanded several times. It used to be the residence (thus its name) of the rulers of Bayer, the Wittelsbach, and the seat of their government. Today the Residenz is a room decoration museum, with Renaissance, Baroque, Rococo and Classicism rooms.
