27/38.- Bordeaux, Place de Tourny

Menu

From the 'Jardin Public', walking along 'Cours de Verdun' you get to 'Place de Tourny'. The statue you see is a work by Gaston Leroux-Veunevot from 1900. This statue replaces the old one by Marin from 1833.

We will now walk along 'Alées de Tourny' to get to the 'Grands Hommes' market. The 'Alées de Tourny' is famous for its Epicuriales festival, which takes place during the summer festival (14 June - 7 July). For three weeks this alley is full of street restaurants, musicians and theater performances. More than 300,000 people come every year to take part in this festival.
