26/39.- Mallorca, Valldemosa, Strolling

We’ll now take a look at the "Cartoixa" (=charterhouse). The Cartoixa was constructed in 1321 and, probably, is the most beautiful building in town. It used to be the palace of the king Marti I l’Humà, who in 1399 handed it over to the Carthusians.

But first we can relax here and drink something, don’t you think?
