6/29.- Flanders: Bruges, the Begijnhof

The Begijnhof (a convent of Beguines, now replaced by Benedictine nuns) was built in the 13th century. Each nun has her own little house and garden. The houses are built around a quiet village green where daffodils grow among the trees in spring.
