34/38.- Ceske Budejovice, colorful houses
As I told you before Ceske Budejovice is the
perfect lunch pad if you want to visit the region
of South Bohemia. Some of the most interesting
excursions are:
Rudolfov, a silver mine from the 16th and 17th
centuries, where you can visit the St. Vitus
Church, a small castle, the Baroque ammunitions
stores and the Rudolfov Museum.
Hluboka nad Vltavou, where you can visit the
marvelous Castle Hluboka nad Vltavou, rebuilt in
1840-1871 in Neo-Gothic style, the Charles Castle
(14th century) and many other interesting
monuments. You can get there by car, train, bus
or/and bike (its only 8km away from
Budejovice) [Next »]
