One of the symbols of this city is the horse drawn railway, which used to connect Ceske Budejovice with Linz. In Budejovice some of the sights of this 129 long railway route can still be visited. Theres an "On the traces of the horse drawn railway" tour, which allow visitors to see some interesting monuments, like: the former Green Sprout Inn (a stable since 1835), the former salt store and the oldest train station in Europe, where a Museum of this horse drawn railway is located.
