Close to the 'Grand Theater', in 'Place de la Comedie', sits the 'Maison du vin' (House of Wine). This beautiful 18th century building hosts the "Conseil Interprofessionnel du Vin", an organization of the region's winegrowers. On the ground floor there is an information desk where you will find many brochures with information about the Bordeaux wines.
In this building the Office of Tourism of Bordeaux --which is in front of it, on our right-- gives tutored tastings of Bordeaux wines. You can learn a lot in this 2 hour wine tasting introductions. The 'Maison du vin' also organizes blind tasting and games to discover the secrets of the great Bordeaux wines.
