Osaka, Umeda, nightlife
Osaka is famous for its nightlife. The areas around Namba and Shin-Sai-bashi Stations are the most popular among trendy Osakans.
If you are not into discos and pubs, on your night out you can go to the
National Bunraku Theater, where traditional
puppet theater shows are held. Osaka is also well known throughout Japan for its cuisine, among the
local delicacies are the Takoyaki (octopus dumplings), the Okonomyaki (an omelet filled with a variety of ingredients including cabbage, meat/shrimp, and eggs), Shabu Shabu (similar to meat fondue but cooked in broth), and Kitsune Udon (noodle soup with fried tofu).
