29/31.- Osaka, Namba, shopping area

Osaka is a city for shopping.

The biggest shopping area in Osaka is Shin-Sai-bashi, in Namba (city center). In this area you will find department stores, brand shops and independent boutiques. Some of the smaller shops offer the cheapest prices in Japan. In Shin-Sai-bashi you will find the Amerika-mura or "American Village".

In Umeda (north of Namba), you will find trendy shops in the underground Shopping Center of Diamor Osaka, and in Tenjin-bashi-suji Shopping Street, a roofed arcade, that, at 2,5 km long, is the longest shopping street in Japan.
