The Chishakuin Temple was originally in Wakayama. It was moved to Kyoto in 1585.

This is one of the temples in Kyoto that is open to visitors for temple lodging. Tourists can sleep in the temple, enjoy the tranquility that reigns here, and join the morning chantings. Ask the Kyoto Tourist Office for more temples that offer accommodation to visitors in Kyoto.
