16/26.- Suzhou, Pen Men Scenic Area, Entrance Gate & Ruigang Pagoda

Here we are at the entrance to the Pan Men scenic area, in the southwest corner of Suzhou. Centered around the 700-year-old Pan Men gate, the area contains some of the city's most interesting historical sites. Right beyond the entrance gate is the Ruigang Pagoda (a.k.a. the Auspicious Light Pagoda) built in 1004. It's over 150 tall and for a small fee visitors can climb to the top.
