15/26.- Suzhou, A Suzhou Canal

Although much of Suzhou is now a modern, traffic-clogged city (yes, you can even find Starbucks coffee here!), once upon a time it was known as a city of splendid canals and sometimes referred to as the "Venice of the East." In some spots (like here!), you can still see the scenic remnants of the ancient canals and moats, flanked by traditional houses.
