35/37.- Litang, Ganden Thubchen Choekhorling Monastery

The monastery is open to visitors. If you ask, a local monk will guide you through the buildings of the compound.

The monastery if famous because it is the birthplace and residence of the 7th and the 10th Dalai Lama. Many living Buddhas lived here too.
