22/37.- Litang Horse Festival, Tibetan lady

The best time to visit Litang is, obviously, August, when the Horse festival takes place. It is in August also when the weather is best. The sun shines almost every day. Heavy showers are to be expected, but most of the time the clouds vanish in a few minutes. The days I was in Litang the weather kept changing every few minutes. Temperatures ranged from warm (when the sun shined) to cool (when cloudy). At night, temperatures drop. The rest of the summer the weather is also ok. Fall and spring are cold, but winter is the coldest season (December through March).
