
East of the the Natural History Museum is the National Gallery of Art, divided in two buildings, the West and the East Wings. The West Building displays paintings and sculptures by European masters from the medieval period through the late 19th century (Da Vinci, Van Gogh, Monet, Rembrant, among others). The East Building displays modern and contemporary Art (Picasso, Matisse, Lichtenstein, Warhol, Pollock, etc).
