Yosemite National Park, Half Dome
Half Dome has become the symbol of Yosemite National Park. Scientists think that the other half of this almost 9,000 feet granite was cut off by a glacier during the Ice Age.
You can see the impressive cliff from bellow from many of the trails and roads in the park. In Summer it is usual to spot climbers
scaling its face. If you want to take the "easy" way to the top, you can follow the Half Dome Glacier Trail (17 miles round trip).
