23/44.- Chicago History Museum, Great Fire Painting
One of the most critical events in Chicago history was the Great Fire of 1871. The fire burned over four square miles, destroying much of the city and killing hundreds. But the city quickly bounced back: the rebuilding turned Chicago into one of America's largest and most important cities. The museum has a nice exhibit dedicated to the fire and the subsequent recovery.
