9/44.- Millennium Park, "The Bean"

The first of Millennium Park's artistic highlights is this 110-ton steel sculpture, officially known as Cloud Gate, but unofficially called "The Bean." The sculpture looks like a giant, odd-shaped drop of mercury and its mirror-like surface provides interesting reflections of the plaza, skyscrapers, visitors, sky, and anything else in the vicinity. It's quite popular with tourists and locals, particularly on a sunny day!
