7/49.- Pittsburgh, Phipps Conservatory
and Botanical Gardens
A stunning building with equally stunning displays. It opened
in 1893 and was a gift from Mr. Henry Phipps, buddy of Andrew Carnegie.
Schenley Park is just across the road and offers golf, swimming, children's
play ground and walking trails. There is something for everyone in
Oakland, regardless of your age or nationality. If Indian food or
Mid Eastern food is yummy to you, then Oakland is the place to dine.
The Ali Baba restaurant on South Craig Street offers exceptional value
for money. The food is delicious and the atmosphere very relaxed.
Check out The India Garden on Atwood Street, especially their lunch
buffet.
