18/22.- Panama City, Punta Paitilla

Panama has undergone some periods of political tensions, mainly during Noriega's time, but it is currently a stable country. Thanks to its special banking situation, the country is attracting international investing firms. New skyscrapers,among them the highest in Central and South america, are under construction.

Panama is also a tax haven. Many North American retirees are buying properties in the country, and planning a tropical retirement in Panama City.
