15/22.- Panama City, Amador Causeway

A great place to go for a hike is the Amador Causeway. This artificial road links four island in the bay of Panama City, at the entrance to the Panama Canal. It was built with rocks from the Panama Canal with North American funds.

The islands host restaurants, cafes, shops, a cruise port, a yacht marina and a Smithsonian Institute of Tropical Research.

The best time to enjoy the Amador Causeway is in the afternoon. You can rent a bike and ride along the jogging path. You can end your visit to Amador dining in one of the restaurants with ocean views.
