10/22.- Panama City, Panama Viejo

The visit to Panama Viejo can be completed in a couple of hours. During your tour you will see many interesting ruins, among them the cathedral and its tower (which can be climbed), the old Town Hall, the Slaves Market, the convent of San Jose, and the San Juan de Dios Hospital.

In Panama Viejo you will also find the "Mercado Nacional de Artesanías y Centro Cultural", a handicraft market.

In 1997, Panama Viejo and Casco Viejo were declared a World heritage Site by UNESCO.
