12/50.- New York, Met Life Building

No matter how many times you have seen New York City in pictures or films, the first time you get here, the sight of these huge buildings will shock you. At least, this is what happened to me. And Park Avenue is one of the streets that most impressed me.

In front of us, we have Grand Central Terminal, and behind it, the Met Life Building. This latter building, formerly known as the Pan Am Building, was completed in 1963 in a plot by the railway companies. There used to be a heliport on the roof, but it was closed after an accident where five people died.
