7/50.- New York, Trump Tower

Trump Tower is a 68 story building designed by Swanke, Hayden & Connell in 1983. It is located at 5th Avenue and 57th Street. One of its peculiarities is that trees grow on the small terraces of the facade.

When you walk among the skyscrapers in Midtown or the Financial District, look for a tree sign on the doors of the buildings. These signs mean that the building has a space open to the public inside where you will find shops, cafes and restaurants. These places are a great way to spend a cold winter’s afternoon.

Five blocks south of Trump Tower, also on 5th Avenue, is Saint Patrick's Cathedral ....
