24/50.- Roaring River, plantain peasant

Most Jamaicans only have a piece of land. Currently it is not easy to find a job. The ones who do not posses land do not have it easy to survive. Some of them have to traffic with drugs or something worse.

Prices in Jamaica are not low. Most of the population has to live with the minimum. They do not earn enough to buy a car, they are considered a luxury here. But they seem to live a happy life. If you grow your own food, what do you need money for?
