23/50.- Roaring River, Fire Hole

Not far from Saint Ann's there is a place where you can see the water burn. I do not know what kind of gas or fluid comes out of this spring, but it has to be something flammable. To see the water burn, you have to light it with a lighter. Click on the picture to see a video.

The "fire hole" is not very known. Just a few people have heard of it. You do not have to pay any fee to see it, but it is recommended to give some Jamaican dollars and some beers to the locals who live here. They take care of it. If you ask them, they will take you to a river where you can go for a swim ...
