26.- Everglades, Let's drive the airboat!

The people at the airboat tour are nice; they let you sit in the driver's seat. The gas pedal is under your right foot, the long bar in your left hand steers the boat. If you move the bar forward, the rudder rotates and the rear of the boat is pushed by the air. It is a strange sensation to feel the boat turn from the back. Because it is a light boat, it changes direction very easily. Other important parts of the machine include the battery between the legs of my friend (who is a UN peace-keeping soldier on vacation!). You can also see the large radiator behind my friend, with the black pipe that takes hot water up to the radiator. The most important safety equipment is the fire extinguisher next to my friend's right knee! Well, that's the tour! Good bye!
