23/28.- Olinda, Igreja dos Milagres

Walking around the bay you will get to Igreja dos Milagres, or Miracles Church. Legend has it that during a severe drought an ox found a spring with fresh water here. People of Olinda considered this a miracle. In 1862, the Igreja dos Milagres, one of the simplest in Olinda, was built.

Walking uphill from here, following Olinda's main avenue, we will get to Igreja de São Sebastião.
