16/24.- Meknes, granary

The royal Granaries are currently under reconstruction, but they deserve a visit. The huge rooms, where grain was stored, give an idea of the size of this Imperial City. thanks to its thick walls and the wells the storerooms preserve a constant temperature.

Note that some of the rooms are bad illuminated, bringing a flashlight will make your visit to the granaries easier.

Next to the Royal Granaries are the stables and the 4 hectare pond used to water the city's hanging gardens.
