17/24.- Meknes, horses' stables

Although the Royal stables are not very well preserved, they are an impressive sight. They were built to keep 12,000 horses. Unfortunately the 18th century earthquake tore down its roof. Nowadays foliage has taken most part of the stables. Nevertheless, this is one of Meknes highlights.
