16/31.- Essaouira, house door

As you can see in the picture not all doors in Essaouira are painted blue.

Essaouira is also very famous for its Music festival, the Gnawas Festival. The festival takes place in early summer, around June 18th. Gnawas music is played by people from the south of Morocco and North of Sudan. The Gnawas music has not much to do with the popular Rai music, it is more relaxed and more rhythmic.
