43/50.- Cairo, crossing a street

Cairo has more than 16 million inhabitants and millions of cars, but almost no traffic lights. In some of the main cross roads there is a traffic policeman, but sometimes drivers don't stop either.

If you want to cross the road you have to do like these women. You can not see it in the photo, but cars don't stop, they just sound the horn. Click on the picture to see the video.

It is not easy to cross some streets, my recommendation is to wait for a local to cross the street and follow him.
