museum, a mummy
This sarcophagus is in the second plant
of the museum. It is recommended to visit this plant counterclockwise,
starting with room number 45.
This is not a photo of a mummy, but of two
sarcophagus: one inside the other. To see the royal mummies
you have to buy a special ticket.
In the royal mummies rooms you will
see the bodies of some pharaohs who ruled the empire between 1552
and 1069 BC. These rooms were closed several years because the local
government thought it was not ethic to show corpses in a museum.
