28/36.- Abu Simbel, Lake Nasser

This is the reason of the reconstruction of the temples: Lake Nasser. The temples were saved thanks to a campaign initiated in 1959 by UNESCO and the Egyptian government. More than 50 countries provided funds to save these two temples, Among other temples in the region (Philae Temple).
