10/36.- Abu Simbel, Abu Simbel Temple, in the temple

This big hall is 16 meters wide and 18 meters long (57 feet high and 52 feet wide). Four giant statues of Ramses II (I told you he was an egocentric) on each side of the hall decorate the eight pillars of the room.

The room's walls are decorated with scenes of the king fighting Nubians, Hittites and Syrians.

Let's take a closer look at two of these statues.
